Das ist ein Zwischenbericht über das Community Forge Aurcoconnect Directory Projekt, für das wir Ihre Spenden im Jänner 2010 verwendet haben.

Community Forge ist eine Organisation mit Sitz in Genf, die sich für Soziale Gerechtigkeit und ökologische Nachhaltigkeit einsetzt, indem sie an Alternativen zu dem auf Schulden basierenden Geldsystem arbeitet und diese propagiert.

Working with Snehal, whom I mentioned earlier, we have now put the two projects under one umbrella.
Snehal set up a ning social network for visitors to the area which we hope will be more accessible than the sites Auroville currently provides. It will enable non-Aurovillians to easily publicise their events and other community building activities.

So much is happening here I hardly know where to start reporting.

Aurofringe now consists of two, sister projects, or which community forge is responsible for one. We have a local partner in Snehal, who has set up and is seeding a social network on ning.com called Auroconnect, aimed more at visitors to auroville, connecting them and making a sort of rotating community.

Thanks to all who donated to the Auroville Area directory project! We have enough funds to make a start, and start we have.

We aim to post updates here, hopefully at least one a week, aimed at keeping donors engaged.

Last night we called a meeting and 11 people showed up, all surprisingly keen to direct their energy towards this. After another meeting today we have agreed on the vision, mission and general intention of the project.
