Minutes: First General Assembly of communityForge.net

1. Activity Report for our First year April 28th 2009 to April 28th 2010

Milestones:

  • Our presentations at the Rencontres InterSEL in Carpentras confirmed the interest in our tool and created contacts with Système d'Echange Local activists (Tim).
  • As a result, 5 Belgian SEL, 2 French SEL, 2 Swiss SEL and 1 Indian LETS then participated in the testing and implementing phase (Tim, Matt, Nick).
  • Which brought our default installation, cforge_custom, up to a professional level, including version 1.1 of the Complementary Currency module (Matt, Tim) ...
  • and confirmed the need to manage multiple currencies, which was implemented and tested in the communityForge.net website (Matt)...
  • and then presented at a "New Money" seminar with institutional actors in France, where it was well received (Tim).
  • After experiencing the difficulties of offering a paid subscription service (scripting a payment gateway into the default installation, reticence by some to pay for this service, high service expectations, and distribution issues) we decided we should consider the Freemium model (Matt, Tim).

2. Accounts Report 2009/10

Income CHF 100 (€70) | Expenses CHF 1270.90 (€890) | Net CHF -1,170.90 (-€820 see attached document for details)
Not counting personal contributions from : Tim Anderson CHF 5'650.00, Matthew Slater CHF 3'650 (see attached document for details)

3. Discussion and approval of these Reports

Approved by a unanimous Decision

In Year One communityForge.net has:

  • Proven that there is a strong need for tools that increase socio-economic resilience.
  • Proven that our tools are appropriate and flexible enough to accommodate the majority of the needs of the present communities trading in complementary currencies.
  • Proven that we are able to manage complex projects with diverse stakeholders, and deliver to their satisfaction.
  • Proven that we are driven, as this was accomplished with no funding.

On this day of May 28th, 2010 we have made a unanimous decision to broaden our scope, and use the Freemium model.
